Curly tails

Our yard has sooooo many curly tails!!!!! Some live underneath the front porch, some underneath the big rocks, some even underneath the basketball hoop!!!! Since I looove catching lizards I obliviously catch curly tails, but the adult curly tails are much bigger than regular adult lizards. So that means they have a bigger and harder bite so I have to be careful. I love catching the baby curly tails because they are so cute!!! The only bad news is that they are hard to catch and eat green anoles.(green anoles are rare green lizards which can change colors) Here are some pictures of some of the lizards I have caught.

If you look closely you can see that she has very sharp claws, which she has to have to be able to climb.

Curly tails are very smart. I will be holding them and they will play dead, and when I put them down they run away.

Daddy's and Ellie's birthday

Ellie's 9th birthday was on July 12th, and Daddy's was July 13th.

                                                    July 7th was the family birthday party.

Sometime in July last year Darebear's caseworker told us that the mom had a baby. She asked us if we could take him. My dad said "of course not" at first, but then they threatened to take D away if we did not take his baby brother. D had been with us for 6 months so that made my dad think about it. My mom and dad talked about it for a little while and decided that we would take him, but they didnt tell us about it till that night. He was the cutest thing when we got him on July 26th 2012, he was only 2 months old.

Luke is now 14 months old and loves getting to everything.... escpacially the trash can.

fourth of July and perdido key

This fourth of July D-man did it with us, he was also scared of the loud booms he wouldn't let us put him down, so he eventually went to bed. Once little man was down we watched fireworks and did some more are neighbors came down and watched the fireworks with us. We also went to are friends house earlier and ate lunch and played games. This year when we went to perdido key some of my cousins, aunt, and uncle(Morgan, rowan, tom, and Courtney) couldn't come because they were going to go on a different vacation together. But it was fun anyway. I'm also going to have another cousin.......................... MY AUNT IS PREGNANT. I am so excited to have another one. It is expected in march so I guess I have another b-day buddy.(my other ones are, Morgan, Kylie, and Liam.) So here are some pictures of us at perdido key......................

we also got to watch some, use some, and catch some.(yes we caught these little parachutes, there were also two that had little army men connected to it).

Ellie was so lucky she got to have her b-day there. Here is her cupcake cake above.

My mom and dad made Ellie a scavenger hunt and at the end Ellie got money.
